0-60 Ride - Week 6 Sports Basement to Fairfax
Saturday, Mar. 04, 2017
8:30am — 12:30pm
Sports Basement Presidio, 610 Old Mason Street, San Francisco, CA

FOLKS: two key updates:

1) Route Change: Highway 1 is closed from Muir Beach to Panoramic so we won't be doing the originally planned rides. (See this handy Caltrain map for real time road closures). We will ride out and back to Fairfax. Extra credit may add on Paradise Loop and/or Hawk Hill.

2) Rain policy: there is 35%-60% chance of rain during our ride. Heavy rain cancels, and we might cut the ride short, but I am hoping to ride. I will update here by 6am Saturday morning. If you decide not to ride, please remove your RSVP. You ride at your own risk. Light wool layer and light outer shell is great to stay warm in wet weather.

THIS RIDE IS OPEN TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS

We start at Sports Basement in the Presidio cross the Golden Gate Bridge, through Sausalito up Camino Alto and to Fairfax, with a quick coffee stop and return for home for a total of 38 miles and 1940 feet of climbing.

0-60 BRICK RUN:
After the ride, secure your bike, change quickly and run 20 minutes along Chrissy Field. (Note: Sports Basement Parking lot is common place for bike thefts: we will try to get a bike guard).

RIDE DETAILS
Distance: 38 miles (with option up to 59)
Terrain: For the main ride, there are two climbs but this is a mostly a gently rolling hills ride.
Extra credit option add on Paradise Loop and Hawk Hill for 59 miles and 3500 feet of climbing.

Ride Style: The main ride is no-drop with sweepers. The longer distance has no formal support so make sure you pay attention to maps and turnsheets.
