THIS RIDE IS OPEN TO ALL CLUB MEMBERS
This week, we're staying close to home with a ride starting at Sports Basement in the Presidio. We'll then head North and run the gauntlet of the tourist riders over Golden Gate Bridge. Our route will take us through Sausalito and Mill Valley before winding up the shoulders of Mt Tam. A brief fly-by of Muir Woods and the main group will turn for home for a total of 32 miles.
0-60 BRICK RUN:
After the ride, secure your bike, change quickly and run 20 minutes along Chrissy Field. (Note: Sports Basement Parking lot is common place for bike thefts: we will try to get a bike guard).
Extra credit options add a visit to Stinson Beach and Pan Toll for 44 miles and a trip up Bolinas-Fairfax Road and a meeting with the Seven Sisters for 55 miles.
Distance: 32 miles (with options up to 55)
Terrain: For the main ride, there are a couple of longer climbs on this ride - and longer descents so the perfect opportunity to practice your climbing and descending skills,
Ride Style: The main 32 miler is no-drop with sweepers to keep folks together. The longer distances have no formal support so make sure you pay attention to maps and turnsheets.
