A few East Bay segments from the "Best of the Bay" century rides. Start in South Fremont at the Warm Springs BART station. Head South-East to get to Calaveras road (http://bestrides.org/calaveras-road/)in Milpitas. Climb the famous Calaveras wall to get to the reservoir. Continue riding through the Sunol wilderness area until you get to the Niles Canyon railway. Ride north on Foothill road through Pleasanton all the way to Dublin. Do the gentle, but long climb up Dublin Canyon road. Turn back South at Palo Verde for the slow, grueling climb up Palomares (http://bestrides.org/palomares-road/). Enjoy the fast, but smooth decent down Palomares to return to Niles Canyon. Return to WARM springs, exhausted, but happy :)
57 miles with ~3500 feet of climbing.

Please note that the route is subject to change on account of road-closures (particularly Calaveras road, which is currently closed on all days, but scheduled to open for weekends sometime soon). Rides in the East Bay tend to get hot, so carry extra water.
