Seadrift Open Water Swim
Sunday, Mar. 18, 2018
10:00am — 11:30am
297 Seadrift Rd., Stinson Beach CA 94970

For those of you who would love to get used to swimming in open water without worry, I will be hosting a group swim off my dock on the Seadrift Lagoon in Stinson Beach.

It is the PERFECT place for those new to open water. The water comes in from the ocean, but only with regulated flow, so it stays warmer than Aquatic Park.

There are no sea monsters, sharks, dangerous sea creatures to worry about and no motorized boats. The water stays flat and fairly clear with good visibility as it is relatively protected from the wind. It is also shallow at the edges so you can even stand up if you want to take a break.

If you swim from my dock all the way to the end and back, it is 2 miles. There are landmarks along the way that can help guide shorter distances as well.

I have 2 showers in the house, so you don't have to freeze your ass off once you get out.

As a bonus, you could also run on the Dipsea Trail which starts nearby. Or ride your bike one HWY 1 or up Bofax to the Seven Sisters.

We could also maybe do a transition practices here as well, as it is totally safe and to leave your bikes in the courtyard.

It is in a private gated community, so I WILL NEED A HEADCOUNT AND THE NAMES OF DRIVERS OF CARPOOLS TO NOTIFY THE GUARD AT THE GATE or they will not let you in. PM me ahead or the day of.

There is no charge for parking. The guard will give you a parking pass.

See you on Sunday!

Chris
