Ride to the summit of Mount Hamilton!
It's a steady climb, most of it is 4-6% so not too bad. Except that it lasts almost 20 miles! It could be hot mid-June and there is no water until the top, so come prepared.
I will be in training mode so I can't help out much, but there's only one Hamilton road all the way to the top so you can't get lost.
Option 1: start at 9:30am
Start from the school near the base of the mountain and climb. 40 miles with 5,000 ft elevation.
Option 2: start at 8:30am
If you don't have a car, you can come with BART to Warm springs/South Fremont and ride for 12.5 mi to the school. The additional part is flat so it's a great warm up. It will then be 63 miles with 5,800 ft elevation.
